In the search results are MANY Kinect games, and in their store pages are the words "available on" followed by "Xbox Series X|S". I am in the U.S., so the part makes sense for me. I typed *that exact query*, only without the brackets. Recently, while doing other things, I came across the page for Kinect Sports Rivals-one of the games that I own-in the Microsoft Store, and saw in the section in which compatible devices are listed-the "available on" section-this phrase: "Xbox Series X|S". I further assumed that if Xbox One games run in a virtual machine on Xbox Series X and S, like how Xbox and Xbox 360 games run in virtual machines on Xbox One (that's how the Xbox One's backwards-compatibility with Xbox 360 games and original Xbox games works), then Microsoft simply didn't include Kinect virtualization in the hypervisor, like how when we play Xbox 360 games on an Xbox One, any Kinect features that those games have are unavailable, whether or not that Xbox One has a Kinect connected. When Phil Spencer said that there's no way to get it to work on the Series X, I did some research and found out that on Xbox One, Kinect 2.0 uses a dedicated USB 3 bus, and that when Kinect 2.0 is connected to a PC, Microsoft recommends a dedicated USB 3.x bus (I can't remember which USB version, but it is 3.0 or 3.1 or something), and I figured that in the Series X (and now also in the Series S), Microsoft simply eschewed the dedicated USB bus to cut costs, and that meant that the Kinect wouldn't have a dedicated USB bus on the Series X/S, and therefore, doesn't work on those devices.

I know that Kinect is a dead product for various reasons (at least in homes it lives on in the business world), and that Microsoft discontinued the Kinect 2.0 and the Kinect for Windows adapter a few years ago. I own an Xbox One S, a Kinect 2.0, and the Kinect for Windows adapter, and several Kinect for Xbox One games. Regarding Kinect, he then specifically said that there's no way to get it to work on the Series X. When the Xbox Series X was formally revealed, Phil Spencer said that the Xbox team was committed to making all Xbox One games that don't require Kinect run on the Series X. Is it possible that despite what Phil Spencer and Microsoft have said, Kinect 2.0 is supported on Xbox Series X and S? Let me explain why I am asking that question.
